What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your Initial Evaluation
Your first appointment, which will last approximately 50 minutes, is focused on getting a clear picture of your oral health and understanding your goals. This includes a full dental evaluation, X-rays and panoramic imaging. It’s an excellent opportunity to establish a baseline that we can check against at future dental visits. We use digital imaging at our practice because it offers reduced radiation, clearer images, and absolutely no waiting time for results.
This thorough dental evaluation is important before we launch into professional dental cleaning, which may need to be done at a separate appointment.
Gum Health Check
Periodontal probing will assess the gums and identify if there is any gum disease present that requires further treatment.
After Your Dental Evaluation
Once we complete your dental evaluation and review your images, Dr. Courter will present his findings to you. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, discuss your goals, and find out more about any recommended treatments.
You will receive:

- A full outline of care recommendations
- Details about costs, insurance coverage, and payment options
